Cold Weather 2005 March 8

What a difference it makes. Yesterday I reported it being 68 degrees and now it is cold and snowing with 30+ mph winds. Ugh. Must be March.

Warm Weather 2005 March 7

I can’t believe how nice the weather was today here in New Jersey. When I went out to the market to get a few supplies, it was 68 degrees. It was so warm that even some bees were out. Of course, there is a negative side of bees being out. That negative side is that they may decide to sting you. And just so I was aware that bees could sting, one decided to sting me today. It didn’t get me too good, but it did hurt and swelled up a little. This bee got me on the top of my thumb. At least it wasn’t as bad as the last time I was stung by a bee about 5 years ago. I was riding my motorcycle and a bee somehow got stuck inside the ear hole of my helmet and stung my ear many times before I could pull over and get my helmet off. Now that really hurt!

IRL from Homestead 2005 March 6

Once again all of the North East openers fell to cold weather and snow on the ground. I just finished watching the IRL season opener. Wheldon kind of rain away with the race, but I did like the coverage. For those who didn’t see it, the did a little picture-in-picture thing during the commercials so we didn’t miss any of the action. Also, the had the race on two channels, ESPN and ESPN2. ESPN was “normal” coverage while the deuce had in-car cameras. ESPN did a good job with this and I hope they keep doing it this way.

Yogi Berra 2005 March 3

I really haven’t been following this Yogi Berra versus Sex in the City lawsuit and I don’t know enough about it to have an opinion of the merits of it. I never seen the episode in question (actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any episode of Sex in the City). I also don’t know what the law regarding this is, but I got to say the defense Turner Broadcasting is trying to use that “Yogi isn’t his real name” is ridiculous. Come on, who else could they have been talking about when they used the name “Yogi Berra?” Maybe if they just say Yogi I could buy it but come on.
