East Windsor Speedway to re-open 2005 April 1

I just found out that East Windsor Speedway is going to reopen! Apparently Don Jones won his lawsuit against the housing complex off of the back stretch and the developers are going to put a huge wall up (like the ones along the highway) to block the noise and dust from the track. The track can operate while they are installing the wall. They are going to run Big Block modifieds on Friday nights (presumably anyone stilling having a Windsor 339 can run that too). This is great news. The first race will be Friday, April 15. The first race would have been tonight, but the parking lot is still flooded. As part of the lawsuit, the developers are going to fix the drainage problems this coming week.

I THINK THEY HAVE MOVED THE “OPENING’ DAY BACK
ATLEAST A FEW WEEKS.
BECAUSE OF THE WINTER SNOW… THE SPRING RAIN etc. etc.
I BELIEVE Mr JONES, FAMILY AND TRACK MANAGEMENT ARE CONTENT TO WAIT UNTIL THE FULL AFFECTS OF THE DROUGHT AND FAMINE HAVE TAKEN PLACE IN THE AREA.
** JUST THAT THE 4th OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR WILL STILL NOT BE ALLOWED…. ***

THIS WAY…. NOT ONLY MAY THEY HAVE A “DRY” RACE TRACK…
BUT WITH A FAMINE… MAYBE THEY CAN RE-START THEIR ‘FLAME-GRILL’ FOR THOSE BEST TRACK BURGERS !!!
THAT WAS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE LAST NAILS IN THE COFFIN…
WHEN THEY WHERE NO LONGER “ALOUD” TO HAVE OPEN FLAME COOKING.
