Lime Rock Park, May 30, 2005 2005 June 12
On our way home from Vermont we decided to take a scenic ride how down Rt 7. We were looking at the map and found out we were going to drive right by Lime Rock Park road course. This was the 4′th road race that I’ve been to. As luck would have it they were running on Monday afternoon.
The races included an antique road racing class, a few Porsche classes, Formula Ford, and a few others. We decide to stop by and we purchased our $25 (I think ticket). We walked around the grounds and watched 3 races. A Porsche race with almost stock Porsches, the Formula Ford and an antique race, The track is build as “America’s most beautiful race course.” That might be a stretch but it is very nice and if I felt like seeing a road race I think Lime Rock would be a nice place to go. One thing I found interesting was they had no spectator stands. All the seating was on hills.
My 2005 racing stats after the May 30′th race at Lime Rock:
Races: 17
Tracks: 12 (5 new)
States: 8 (0 new)
