National Map Viewer 2005 July 14
I just came across The National Map Viewer. It is pretty neat and you can zoom in on all of the topographical maps for areas you are interested in. I know there are some commercial programs available that allow you to use these maps, but I never tried them, so I don’t know if the you would have better functionality (and better speed) or not. However, this is pretty neat, although if I wanted a topographical map for hiking or some other purpose, I’d want to actually purchase one as I find the format much better then anything I can print off of the computer without some sort of fancy plotter.
