LibraryThing for Libraries in Danbury 2007 May 14
I have just read the news that Danbury, CT has started using LibraryThing for Libraries in their library catalog. I haven’t looked at it too closely, but I did spend some time investigating its feature and overall I think it is really nice. It incorporates Library 2.0 technologies in the way of tag clouds and user reviews. I would like to see a way to tag a book in the catalog, but really I think it does a great job of bringing these enhancements to the public. It also appears to be a real easy thing to set up for library staff. Not sure what it costs, but it looks like a good tool for a public library.
